Domain Name Policy
Deletion Policy
Unless otherwise agreed or advised, any gTLD domain name licence ("Domain Name") for which Melbourne IT DBS, Inc. is the registrar of record will be renewed in advance. If you have otherwise agreed with or advised Melbourne IT DBS, Inc. to not renew your Domain Name, then on the expiry date it will be undelegated. This means that your email and website will no longer be found.
Following the expiry of your Domain Name, a 40 day period applies in which you can request renewal of your Domain Name ("Grace Period"). Melbourne IT DBS, Inc. does not charge additional reactivation fees for gTLD domain names renewed during the Grace Period if the Domain Name is under contract with Melbourne IT DBS, Inc.
If you do not renew your Domain Name during the Grace Period, you will have a further 30 day period to have your Domain Name renewed ("Redemption Period"). Renewal of your Domain Name in the Redemption Period may incur additional fees*.
Once the Redemption Period has ended, your Domain Name will be deleted from the registry after 5-10 days. At this point, your Domain Name can be registered by you or another party. Please contact us should you have any queries or require assistance in re-registering your Domain Name.
* Any redemption fees charged by the registries which operate the .com, .net, .org and .biz gTLDs will be passed-thru to you. This fee is currently USD $310, however this may be updated from time. If this fee is inconsistent with the fee listed in your Melbourne IT DBS agreement, then that other fee will apply.
Auto-renew Policy
Unless otherwise agreed or advised, any gTLD domain name licence ("Domain Name") for which Melbourne IT DBS, Inc. is the registrar of record will be renewed in advance.
