TLD .si - loosening of registration rules
Friday, 18 February 2005ARNES (Slovenian registry) will be opening up for first come first served applications on 4th April 2005. The new registration rules and requirements are as follows:
After 4th April 2005 all eligible entities will be able to register any .si domain name according to the 'first come first served' principle. The applicants will be limited to legal persons from Slovenia (a maximum number of 20 names or owners). The opening for EU countries will probably be at the end of this year.
Domain registration is no longer free of charge and there will also be a renewal system.
ARNES has together with the University of Law in Ljubljana developed an alternative domain dispute resolution system - ARDS.
