Australian Geographic domains

From 1st June 1 2005, Australian businesses will be able to apply for the registration of commercial geographic domain names in com.au and net.au. The allocation process is by way of ballot. Meaning that all applications will be submitted to the registry and will be allocated by a lottery like system. The closing date for applications is 31st July2005 and the domain names will allocated by the Registry in August 2005. Note that the time line may be changed by auDa at any time.
